Pay
Metro mechanical fitter: $50-$65/hr ($95K-$125K). FIFO fitter: $55-$75/hr ($120K-$160K). Shutdown fitter: $60-$75/hr plus overtime. Among the highest-paid non-electrical trades.
Qualifications
Certificate III in Engineering — Mechanical Trade (MEM30219). White Card for construction sites. Additional tickets: confined space, working at heights, forklift, EWP. Hydraulic and pneumatic systems knowledge highly valued.
